Candy Cake Pop Experiment~

~Happy Sunday! Well, it is a rainy day here in the Couv, so I thought since I don't have to water all of my flowers and tend to the yard, I could experiement with some more cake pops. I thought ah-hah.. CANDY! Wouldn't these be great at a kid's birthday party! I used crushed up Butterfinger bars, oreo cookies, and mini m&m's! They weren't as easy to make since everything kept wanting to fall off, but in the end, I was able to make a couple of dozen of these candy coated pops.. the experiment continues.. I already have some different candy toppings I want to try! Enjoy and enjoy the rest of the weekend..

Bridal Shower Pops~

~Good Saturday to you! I wanted to share some cake pops I delivered on Friday to a bridal shower. Her colors were dark orange and teal and for the life of me, I could not find teal sprinkles, so after some experimenting, I created my own! I was so excited when I got the beautiful teal color I was hoping for. I simply dyed them with my baker's candy coloring until I got the perfect shade of teal. It is so funny, you can find blue, light green, dark green, dark blue but nothing in between, or not that I have been able to find, so now I know how to make them myself. So, I am so happy to hear that the bride loved them! They are a mix of red velvet and chocolate covered in white chocolate.. Thanks for looking!! Have a great rest of the weekend.

Lilac Birthday Pops~

~Hello there!
I was busy over Fourth of July, not cooking hamburgers and hot dogs, but making cake pops, of course!! These were made for a special co-worker at Banfield for her birthday. Her co-workers ordered them for her and said that lilac was her favorite color, so here they are all prettied up! They really reminded me of a wedding favor or a baby shower favor, I like the color of these a lot. I heard she was happily surprised by her gift and I hope she had a very happy birthday. These were red velvet cake pops covered in white chocolate and lilac sugar sprinkles. Have a great warm evening! Nicole

Gone Fishing Cupcakes~

~Good Evening! I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July.. Ours was actually quiet but nice and took the moms to dinner! We had fun, we always do! We love our mamas so much! The Thursday before the 4th, I made some cupcakes for my friend at work who was taking these "Gone Fishing" themed cupcakes to her friend's retirement party! This is definitely going to be one of her favorite hobbies when she retires, so we thought these would be perfect for her. These are chocolatey chocolate cupcakes with vanilla bean cream cheese icing.. Yummm-o! Thanks for taking a look! Have a great night.. be back soon..
